Wyndspelle G1 Winner #10 for Iffraaj

logo

It's been a long time coming but it was definitely worth the wait to see WYNDSPELLE (NZ) (Iffraaj) powering to victory and landing his first G1 win in the Captain Cook Stakes (1600m) at Trentham on Saturday.

Runner-up on four occassions in G1 races, the first as a 2YO in the Diamond Stakes, WYNDSPELLE became IFFRAAJ's 10th individual G1 winner and his fifth in the Southern Hemisphere as he joined TURN ME LOOSE, JON SNOW, GINGERNUTS & JUNGLE CAT on Iffraaj's Australasian honour roll.

Set to board the plan back to England next week, IFFRAAJ will be strongly represented at Karaka 2020 with 42 yearlings catalogued in Book 1.  Given these mares were covered off the back of GINGERNUTS' & JON SNOW's New Zealand and Australian Derbies, the quality is as high as ever with our own draft featuring a full-brother to NZB Filly of the Year, FIX, a half-brother to Rondinella from the Haunui Foundataion Family, a daughter of multilpe Group winner and G1 performer FLORIA and, the first foal of stakes winning 2YO TALARIA who is a full sister to BRUTAL.  Whilst in other drafts buyers will see the full-sister to GINGERNUTS, a half-brother to CONSENSUS and, a half-brother to BOSTONIAN.
