With the 1st of September quickly looming, the Haunui Farm stallions have been biding their time being viewed by the public over the last few weeks and are all set to start the busy serving season ahead.
With our new stallion Belardo (Ire) (Lope de Vega) joining the ranks in 2017, the last few weeks have seen over 250 visitors through the Haunui gates attending a series of public and private parades and needless to say, the dual Group One winner has created quite the impression.
Haunui Farm's Mark Chitty says, " We announced Belardo way back in April and until the 30th of July, we didn't have a stallion on the farm to show! The last few weeks have certainly made up for that and we've been really pleased with the way Belardo has been received by New Zealand breeders.
"I was a bit like a kid waiting outside the lolly shop when the truck pulled up at the ramp the morning the stallions completed quarantine and as soon as Belardo walked down the ramp, I knew that he was going to impress a lot of people and the last few weeks have proved that with the amount of bookings we've taken."
Belardo has settled in well here at Haunui and we invite anyone who hasn't been able to make one of our parades, to please be in touch with Mark or Shannon to come and view the stallions. Mark - 021 663 995, Shannon - 0212 855 513.
