The Otaki-Maori Racing Club’s Haunui Farm G1 WFA Classic (1600m) is shaping up to be a mouth-watering contest at Otaki on Saturday with nominations headlined by MELODY BELLE (NZ) (Commands).

The four-time G1 winner and Haunui graduate is set to be joined by Australian visitor, ENDLESS DRAMA (IRE) (Lope De Vega), and fellow G1 winners VOLPE VELOCE (NZ) (Foxwedge), SHADOWS CAST (NZ) (Per Incanto), CONSENSUS (NZ) (Postponed) and LADIES FIRST (NZ) (Dylan Thomas) in what is shaping up to be one of the best renditions of the race in recent times.

The Otaki-Maori Racing Club’s flagship race of the season, the Haunui Farm G1 WFA Classic has always rated very highly among New Zealand’s elite WFA events and this year’s rendition will undoubtedly ensure that status doesn’t change.

Haunui Farm’s Mark Chitty says, “We have been supporting this race for almost ten years and it is great to see yet another standout field assembled for this Saturday. To have five individual G1 winners set to take their place in the field is very pleasing and having Endless Drama over from the Chris Waller stable adds another element as well. We just have to hope the weather plays it’s part and we can all enjoy a great contest.”
