Iffraaj Colt Sets Record at Gold Coast

With the Magic Millions yearling sale completed on the Gold Coast, the countdown to Karaka 2020 is on in earnest.  Reflecting on the results of last week's sale, it was certainly great to see Haunui Farm's stalwart stallion IFFRAAJ, up in lights with his sole representative at the sale setting a new record for Book 2.

Sold as Lot 1037 from the draft of Willow Park Stud, the colt fetched A$370,000 to the bid of Orbis Bloodstock.  Bred by Doug and Adrienne Alderslade, he is out of their NOT A SINGLE DOUBT mare Belle de Jeu, and hails from the family of Golden Slipper winner Belle du Jour.

Haunui Farm's Managing Director, Mark Chitty says, "It certainly comes as a timely reminder to buyers of the quality stock that IFFRAAJ can produce and we're excited to be offering what we believe is our best line-up of IFFRAAJ yearlings at Karaka 2020.

"IFFRAAJ is a truly international stallion and we have some well-related yearlings to sell next week including the full brother to NZB Filly of the Year FIX (Lot 542), a half-brother to Rondinella, VAVASOUR and VILANOVA (Lot 380)and, a lovely filly who is out of the full sister to BRUTAL (Lot 337)."

IFFRAAJ has unbeaten 2YO filly Lovebug, qualified for the Karaka Million once again proving his versatility.
