Showcasing was the new addition to the Haunui Farm stallion roster in 2011. The fastest ever winner of the Group Two Gimcrack Stakes, his performance in that event was rated by Timeform as the best in nearly 20 years.

His outstanding sire Oasis Dream represents a sireline that has seen great success in New Zealand through Volksraad, Cape Cross and Desert Sun. A Group One performer, Showcasing has been described by his trainer John Gosden as being “very much like his sire Oasis Dream. He is very laid back, the same build as him and is the best Oasis Dream I’ve had – he is a proper speed horse.”

Having purchased a 50% interest in Showcasing, Haunui Farm ensured he was secured for New Zealand and since doing so, he has been fully syndicated among some of New Zealand’s leading studs and breeders to ensure he is afforded every opportunity in the breeding shed.

Showcasing served a full book of mares at Haunui Farm in his first season at stud including sixteen stakes performers.  His first Northern Hemisphere foals have created quite an impression (some photos can be viewed in the photo gallery) and his first Southern Hemisphere foals are due in 2012.  Click here to view Showcasing's first book of mares.
