Understanding exactly what our clients or potential clients are trying to achieve is a critical part of this process. Breeding to sell in the commercial market has completely different parameters to breeding to race and vice versa.

Using our depth of experience, we are able to offer mating advice for broodmares, always keeping in mind the end goal. When breeding for the commercial market, we believe the most important consideration is to do what is best for the mare in order to maximise sale ring results. This means using a variety of stallions both in New Zealand and Australia. People only need to view our draft list in a yearling sale catalogue to see that resident clients are not limited to the sole utilisation of our stallions.

Communication is imperative and as part of the management process, Haunui Farm clients get updates and reports on their bloodstock in a variety of forms. We also have an open door policy and welcome clients and visitors at any time, it is just a matter of giving us a call. And as a client from out of town, we’ll even be able to provide you with a comfortable stay with our newly appointed lodge.
